Job Description
Springdale Indian School Sharjah is looking for suitably qualified candidate to employ for the job role of a Chemistry Teacher. The successful candidate will join the Chemistry faculty of the school. This job vacancy is presently open for all candidates who fulfill the below mentioned criteria.
Scope of Work of A Chemistry Teacher
- Teaching students about chemical elements, compounds and reactions.
- Supervising investigations, experiments and developing rapport.
- Attend ongoing education programs and strive to keep students engaged.
Job Duties of A Chemistry Teacher
- Understanding the curriculum & developing schedules, lesson plans and teaching methods that will help students cover the required content.
- Preparing and delivering lessons that are stimulating and clear.
- Educating students on lab safety and ensuring all experiments are carried out responsibly.
- Setting up tests, assignments, experiments and grading students fairly.
- Ensuring appropriate resources and consultation times are available to students.
- Mentoring and providing support to student teachers.
- Attending staff and parent meetings, conferences, workshops and other continuing education programs.
Qualification & Experience
- A bachelor’s or master degree in field of Chemistry or degree of BEd.
- 1-2 years of experience in same role is an advantage.
Skills Desired
- Proficient in MS Office and computer basic is a plus.
- Good communication skills.
