Job Description

A Pharmacist at Novomed assures the appropriate control, security, prescribing, preparation, dispensing and utilization of pharmaceuticals in hospital. The role holder interacts routinely with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care to patients. Duties as Pharmacist

  • Has oversight of pharmacy technicians as well as supports the pharmacy operations manager.
  • Ensures the maintenance of efficient pharmacy operations, customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
  • Reviews, interprets, clarifies, enters, and verifies patients’ information and medication orders for processing within all hospital and pharmacy computer systems.
  • Advises prescribers of medication related issues and recommends alternate medications.
  • Provides general and patient specific drug information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other Health care professionals.
  • Helps monitor pharmaceutical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
  • Strictly observes organization’s medical regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety, patient assessment and patient care.
  • Ensure compliance to all laws, circulars and regulations related to the pharmacy profession.

Position Requirements

Following are the prerequisites for the role of Pharmacist at Novomed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • No less than 2 years of experience in healthcare setting in the UAE.
  • Sales experience is an advantage.
  • DHA License holder.

Job Skills

  • Excellent English/Arabic grammar and articulacy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Can join immediately to one month.
