Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) / NAWAH (subsidiary of ENEC) is presently hiring suitable candidates for the job role of a Legal Coordinator. The selected candidate will work at Nawah Barakh Nuclear Energy Plant in Abu Dhabi. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria are invited to submit their applications.
Purpose of A Legal Coordinator
Coordinates the flow of legal matters and provides specialized secretarial and administrative support to the legal department.
Job Duties of A Legal Coordinator
- Provide specialized support to streamline & organize operations for Legal Department with particular emphasis on supporting the lawyers.
- Conduct basic research through the use of legal databases and respond to the needs of internal clients by liaising with different departments within the enterprise.
- Collaborate with General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsels to handle all legal issues efficiently.
- Monitor the legal file status to ensure appropriate follow up actions.
- Coordinate and monitor the flow of legal information/workload and responds to the needs of internal clients by liaising with the legal team and external stakeholders as required.
- Prepare legal agreements & forms required for signature, drafts legal correspondence and other documents.
- Acts as a contact point for all enquiries on legal issues and direct to appropriate legal counsel for action.
- Liaise with external legal counsel or clients on documentation/administrative or personnel matters as well as on various lawsuit issues.
- Produce various forms of documentation such as legal reports, presentations, memos and emails as required.
- Assist in processing invoices in liaison with procurement and finance teams ensuring compliance to Nawah procurement and finance procedures.
- Provide administrative and legal services to the Legal Department, such as drafting minutes of meeting as well as preparing/ drafting internal/external correspondence.
- Assist in research and drafting of Legal Department’s policies and procedures in line with company’s guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of legal contracts, opinions and other legal papers of a routine nature for dealing with external legal stakeholders.
- Assist in continuous development of standard templates and formats for legal documents.
- Maintains and updates legal manuals and periodicals.
- Works closely with Paralegal in updating, improving and maintaining the shared drive and Legal Department’s filing system.
- Coordinates legal translation requests.
Qualification & Experience
- Diploma in business administration or a relevant discipline.
- Bachelor degree in Law or in a related field (preferance)
- 2 years of relevant experience in similar role.
