Job Description

Responsibilities of English Teacher Secondary

  • To support, observe and record the progress of their class. Plan lessons in line with School and Curricula objectives, with the aim of ensuring a healthy culture of learning.
  • To plan curricula, to cover a broad range of subjects offered, keep up to date with subject specific knowledge and understanding according to curriculum requirements.

Job Requirements of English Teacher Secondary

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature or related subjects.
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience or teaching practice in the subject following the UK National Curriculum.
  • With UK Teaching Qualification (PGCE, QTS).

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Knowledge of Data Disaggregation, Analysis and Differentiation for Students.
  • Recent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
  • A proven track record of successful teaching and securing outstanding results through ensuring high quality teaching and learning.
  • The ability to use data effectively, to monitor and enhance student progress.
