Purpose of A Operations Manager
Overseeing and optimizing daily business activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Duties of A Operations Manager
- Maintain interface with departmental personnel to ensure there is adequate space and facilities for patient care and coordination of facilities.
- Investigate patient/visitor concerns and implements appropriate courses of action.
- Patient feedback analysis & documentation of results.
- Oversee activities in outpatient and Inpatient areas.
- Ensure the hospital achieves budgets as directed by the organization.
- Ensure the improvement in patient care with the feedback from communities and patients.
- Take corrective action in situations requiring immediate intervention, including interpretation and administration of Hospital policy and work rules.
- Obtain adequate facts and evaluates data to identify and intervene in actual and/or potential safety and risk management issues.
- Communicate pertinent information (verbal and/or electronic) in a timely manner to Hospital administration and department leadership.
- Document pertinent information, actions and decisions and communicates to appropriate leadership.
- Support clinical, operational and facility services throughout the entire Hospital
- Collaborate with clinical and support staff to foster delivery of quality care.
- Assist in evaluating and reassigning staff during crisis situations.
- Participate in JCI and all other DOH activities.
- To ensure all the guidelines of DOH is met and the hospital passes the DOH/regulatory audits.
- Provide on-site management/leadership of crisis situations to prevent or minimize disruption of services.
- Monitor emergency action procedures and coordinate activities related to patient/staff evacuation as needed.
- Function as on site coordinator for internal/external disasters or other major events.
- Intervene in situations involving patients, visitors, Hospital staff and other external customers.
- Participate in Hospital quality program and be member of quality committees if chosen.
- Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining BIH’s critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
- Actively participate in the Hospital’s on-going Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Programs and other in service training programs.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate from an accredited college or suitable University degree MBA or Master’s degree or equivalent is preferable.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in management.
