Job Description
As a Logistics Coordinator at Sharaf Retail, candidate will lead the logistics element of the company-wide SAP roll-out team to ensure it delivers operational improvement through the accuracy and efficiency of the logistics management process. Job holder oversees and manages the movements of merchandise amongst different locations, as well as coordinating with suppliers and outsourcing companies to ensure a timely and efficient delivery.
Responsibilities of Logistics Coordinator
- To assist the head of the SCL team in managing the roll-out & implementation of SAP to measure, monitor and manage the operational logistics for all Sharaf Retail operations in all locations, ensuring optimized process and document control, accuracy of records and making recommendations for improvements to existing management processes.
- Work with the SAP project team to ensure the timely, efficient and effective design, roll-out.
- Implementation of the company SAP system to manage the import and export operations for all Sharaf Retail brands.
- To ensure the timely, efficient and effective delivery of all merchandise and products across multiple geographies.
- To ensure all the documentation required for the shipping of merchandise across the different locations is incompliance with the regulations.
- Maintaining accurate records of all transactions and activities and regular reporting to your line manager.
- To appoint, develop, motivate, direct and support reporting staff to ensure the department function meets its objectives, targets and budgets.
- Monitor the department/function and prioritise, communicate, assign or delegate responsibilities to direct reports to ensure the department is achieving the required levels of performance and take whatever remedial action is necessary.
- Prepare, monitor and adhere to an annual functional budget to ensure the function fulfils its objectives.
- Ensure costs are kept within that budget whilst achieving designated KPIs, targets and objectives.
- Will need to with the different departments of the company to efficiently coordinate the project roll-out and implementation.
Requirements for Role of Logistics Coordinator
- High-school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- 5 years experience in logistic process management, with a strong track record in the retail industry, particularly within fashion retail.
- Demonstrated expertise in SAP and comprehensive process knowledge, with preference given to super-user experience.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
Proficient communication skills (spoken, reading, and writing) in English, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and information.
