Job Description
Hotels/Restaurant industry is currently seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join their team as a Storekeeper. A Storekeeper will play a vital role in managing and maintaining their inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, and facilitating the efficient operation of the store.
Responsibilities of Storekeeper
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming merchandise and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions using computerized systems.
- Perform regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of products to prevent damage or spoilage.
- Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the storage area.
- Collaborate with purchasing and other departments to coordinate stock replenishment.
- Generate reports on inventory status and consumption as needed.
- Follow established safety and security procedures in handling stored items.
Requirements of Storekeeper
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certification or training in inventory management is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Proven experience of less than 1 year as a storekeeper or in a similar role.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (if applicable).
- Basic knowledge of inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
