Purpose of Planning & Inventory Management Specialist
Optimize supply chain operations and ensure efficient inventory levels to meet demands while minimizing costs.
Job Duties of Planning and Inventory Management Specialist
- Manage inventory replenishment, forecast, and conduct monthly reviews with the Head of Fulfilment on year to date consumption.
- Work with Engineering Material Planners to decide on courses of action to minimize or eliminate stock outs and progression of Vendor serve as subject matter expert for the introduction & progression of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Performance Based Contract (PBC) & Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).
- Lead meetings to align forecasting and inventory provisioning across business units such as Engineering, Business Technology and Airport Fire Services to meet demand.
- Extract the ageing inventory list from Oracle GRP and Maximo and present the list to the relevant business users for their review.
- Work closely with Category Management team in integrating inventory management elements in contacts within organization.
- Review inventory KPIs, purchase frequency, lead times and critical stock factors to rationalize stock levels and revise order levels.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree level in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
- 5-7 years of overall experience in Supply management, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in inventory management.
- Hands on experience with inventory management software, such as Oracle or SAP.
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (APICS CPM) or CIPS.
