Canadian University Dubai (CUD) is currently recruiting dedicated & forward thinking educator for faculty ranks of an Assistant/Associate Professor Management Information Systems (MIS). The selected candidate will have the chance to educate & mentor students about how right information obtained at right time can help in supporting business operations and analytics. Purpose of Assistant/Associate Professor MIS
- Implement the accredited curriculum in accordance with the academic standards of the university and requirements of Ministry of Education.
- Teach a full course load and holding office hours accordingly.
- Lay due emphasis on non instructional activities (i.e. research), creative activities or administrative services to the university.
Duties of Assistant/Associate Professor MIS
- Teach assigned classes.
- Maintain adequate records of progress and evaluation for all students enrolled in classes assigned.
- Submit grades on dates indicated by the Registrar each semester (mid semester and final).
- Prepare syllabus in conjunction with the Department Head for distribution to students in the first week of the course.
- Assist Department Head in evaluating course objectives and sequencing.
- Recommend curricular changes (if any).
- Maintain set office hours during semester posting these and informing students.
- Develop new courses as requested by the Department Head or Dean.
- Stay upto date on developments in MIS discipline through participation in professional associations.
- Attend faculty & departmental meetings.
- Attend orientation and professional development workshops.
- Perform community outreach activities.
- Serve as an ambassador to CUD by promoting the institution when engaged in professional duties off campus.
- Perform any other job duty as asked by the higher authorities.
Qualification & Experience
- PhD in the specialized domain Business Analytics.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in teaching graduate or undergraduate studens in same discipline.
- Applicants with experience within a Canadian Institution are preferred
- Professional certificate in business analytics, digital transformation or ITIL.
