Dubai Ports (DP) World is presently hiring technical and skilled candidate for job role of a Assistant Manager Software Quality Assurance. The selected candidate must have sufficient knowledge and experience in software testing best practices and methodologies. Job Purpose of An Assistant Manager Software Quality Assurance
Conduct various quality tests and checks in softwares to identify defects or issues, ensuring they meet predefined quality standards.
Duties of An Assistant Manager Software Quality Assurance
- Develop and implement testing strategies, plans and schedules for in house and outsourced projects.
- Manage and coordinate the work of the QA team, including both onshore and offshore members.
- Monitor and report on the progress and effectiveness of testing activities.
- Collaborate closely with the Manager IT Security Governance to assess and mitigate potential risks.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including development teams, project managers and external vendors.
- Continuously improve testing processes and tools, incorporating new best practices as needed.
- Ensure a suitable work environment for the QA team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in managing a QA team.
- Experience with various testing tools and techniques, including automated testing.
- Experience with both in house & outsourced software development projects.
- Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance are a plus.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Strong knowledge of software testing best practices and methodologies.
- Proficiency in test planning, execution and reporting.
- Familiarity with security and performance testing.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.
