Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL)
Workshop Technician in ALSE & Mission Equipment at GAL in Khalifa City, Sector 33, Abu Dhabi, UAE will assist the ALSE Supervisor to accomplish aviation unit, and intermediate maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on all aviation life support equipment (ALSE) Including Night Vision Goggles. This is an Entry level full time job. And salary can range between 6000-9000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Workshop Technician
- Remove, replace, service, prepare, preserve, clean, and store ALSE / NVG equipment.
- Performs scheduled periodic maintenance inspections on ALSE / NVG equipment including but not limited to Aviation helmets, oxygen mask equipment, survival vests, first aid kits, head sets, Life rafts, night vision devices, survival radios, survival packs and pyrotechnics, in accordance with directives, technical publications and approved procedures.
- Checks ALSE records to ensure inspections are completed in a timely manner in accordance with all applicable manuals.
- Works with individual aviators and crewmembers to ensure proper fit and use of the ALSE / NVG equipment.
- Requisition of all ALSE / NVG parts, and maintain shop and bench stock for the repair of ALSE / NVG equipment.
- Inspects and prepares forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751 and internal (JAC) regulations.
- Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of the ALSE equipment.
- Responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements for Role of Workshop Technician
- High School.
- Completion of a formal ALSE / NVG training course from an accredited military or civilian school or an approved on the job training Program (OJT).
- Minimum of 5 Years Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working on ALSE / NVG equipment including over water flotation devices. Oxygen mask equipment ,first aid kit, helmet Flyers, with CEP/ANR system, ANVIS 9 series and F4949 all versions. Chemical Warfare will considered as an asset.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Knowledgeable on The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) preferable.
- Thorough knowledge of common tools, special tools, hardware and equipment used in the maintenance of ALSE / NVG equipment.
- Must be able to troubleshoot ALSE / NVG equipment malfunctions and interpret applicable technical data.
- A thorough background in the full spectrum of aviator flight equipment, pyrotechnics, and hot climate survival kits, and proper use of each is required.
