Senior Network Engineer Miral Experience Abu Dhabi

The Network Senior Engineer at Miral Experience in Miral Experiences LLC, Abu Dhabi, 128717, UAE will be part of Miral’s Network Team who is responsible for the management and monitoring of IT Network on Microsoft Azure Cloud and on premises in accordance with the approved Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy and Information Security Policy. Candidate must have a strong background in network engineering and management, with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT networks. Job holder will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of their network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance. Will work closely with cross-functional teams to support business operations and implement network solutions that meet the organization’s needs. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 20000-40000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Senior Network Engineer

• Leadership and Team Management: Provide guidance and recommendations to other team members to manage the department operations and projects.
• Guide and Mentor Junior team members to assess and manage existing on prem and cloud  setup including but not limited to VOIP, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wired and wireless networks.
• Operations: Monitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and events to identify potential issues and security threats.
• Coordinate incident response activities with internal and external teams and ensure timely resolution of all incidents.
• Provide administration and support, ensure standard practices, install/configure/customize applications and hardware like Switches, routers, patch panels, firewalls, IPS and load balancers.
• Implement, and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, including VOIP, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of network services and resources, including routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Monitor network performance and traffic patterns, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to understand technical requirements and develop network solutions that support business objectives.
• Execute network infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
• Provide technical expertise and support to resolve network-related incidents and escalations, including after-hours support as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans and manage the overall threat and risk exposure of Azure setup to an acceptable level. All in compliance with the corporate security policy, legal, compliance or regulatory requirements making sure remediation of all reported security vulnerabilities are implemented within a pre-agreed timeframe
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to ensure a secure design and deployment of new technologies is in place.
• Collaborate in IT audits, vulnerability and threat assessments, and directing responses to concerned team members.

Requirements for Role of Senior Network Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, computer science or related field is the minimum requirements for this position
• Cisco Certification CCNA and CCNP, CCIE, CISSP
• Minimum 10 years in Network Administration role
• Thorough understanding and experience in network LAN solutions and technologies, including but not limited to campus switching, complex multi routing, WAN, SD-WAN, PBR, non-blocking datacenter technologies.
• Thorough understanding and experience on designing, manipulation and troubleshooting, all routing protocols and technologies including, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, IS-IS, MPLS, and re-distribution.
• Through understanding and experience on security solutions, including, IPS/IDS, firewalls, WAF & CDN encryption, decryption, SSL off-loading, IPSEC and SSL VPNs.
• Advanced Knowledge and experience with Security observability and automation platforms, including SOAR, XDR.
• Advanced Knowledge and hands on experience in Multi-Pod cisco ACI environment.
• Experience with cisco Intent based networking (Cisco DNA) and Meraki platforms.
• Advanced knowledge and experience on Cloud, Datacenter networking, computing, and security.
• Advanced knowledge and experience on L2/L3 Multicast and streaming protocols (PIM, IGMP, RP)
• Experience on IP-Telephony solutions.
• Experience on multiple monitoring and reporting platforms including (Riverbed, ManageEngine SolarWinds, PRTG, ZABIX)
• Working Experience with ITIL, ISO 27001 frameworks
• Experience in compliance audits, and audit report closure and response.

Hands on experience on platforms including but not limited to:

• Cisco Catalyst and Nexus (ACI and NX-OS modes)
• Aruba, Cisco, and Ruckus, and MIST enterprise wireless systems.
• WAF, ADC and CDN solutions (Citrix, F5, Sophos, and Azure GW)
• Fortinet, Palo-Alto, FTD, Juniper, and Sophos Next-Gen Firewalls.
• Cisco and FortiGate SD-WAN solutions and platforms.
• Cisco ISR routers.
• Blade-switching (Oracle Exadata, Synergy, IBM-Blade)
• Cisco and Ribbon enterprise telephony systems and voice gateways.
• Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE, and NetScout, NAC and AAA solutions.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

• Advanced understanding on wireless technologies, including wireless profiles, RF, manipulation in 5 GHZ. ad 2.4 frequencies.
• Expert on designing and troubleshooting advanced switching protocols, including but not limited spanning tree, port-channels, VPC, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP.
