Visual Merchandiser | Retail | IKEA DFC Dubai, AE Full-time

This role plans and coordinates the execution of accessory shops, shop windows, activity podiums, perimeter breaks, self‑serve areas, the Swedish Food Market, and Exit Café displays within the IKEA store. You will follow IKEA manuals to produce functional home furnishing solutions that fully implement the IKEA Concept while ensuring cost‑effective, safe, and environmentally friendly display solutions. Consequently, your creative decisions directly influence the store’s commercial calendar, sales steering activities, and the customer’s visual journey through the IKEA brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the execution of all visual displays across accessory shops, shop windows, activity podiums, perimeter breaks, self‑serve areas, Swedish Food Market, and Exit Café.
• Ensure the integrity of the IKEA concept and brand by strictly following IKEA manuals. Produce functional home furnishing solutions that inspire customers.
• Ensure that functional and inspirational display solutions align with running commercial activities. Therefore, cooperate closely with the 1st Interior Designer to maintain consistency.
• Implement projects or daily sales steering activities efficiently. Collaborate with Sales and In‑Store Logistics teams using IKEA display solutions, communication tools, and sales methods.
• Support the planning and implementation of the store commercial calendar. Align visual updates with seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotional events.
• Ensure cost‑effective, safe, and environmentally friendly display solutions. Comply with local legislation and IKEA sustainability standards.
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of home furnishing solutions within the local market. Therefore, stay informed about local customer preferences and competitor activity.
• Commit to high‑quality execution within limited time frames, balancing creativity with operational efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Interior Designing, Architecture, or a related creative field.
• 3–5 years of experience in retail interior design or visual merchandising, preferably within a large‑format retail environment.
• Proven ability to visualize, design, and communicate home furnishing and retail solutions effectively.
• Attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics, color, composition, and spatial planning.
• Customer‑focused approach, understanding how visual merchandising drives sales and enhances the shopping experience.
• Strong teamwork and personal leadership skills. Ability to collaborate across departments including Sales, Logistics, and Commercial teams.
• Commitment to high‑quality execution within tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of cost‑effective and environmentally safe display practices, aligned with local legislation and IKEA values.
