Vascular Access PICC Nurse Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi UAE

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Vascular Access Nurse to join their team. This amazing opportunity was posted by the hospital on December 6, 2023 and is now open for application. This role person will work within the agreed protocol for PICC and Mid-line insertion and removal. In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, the nurse will evaluate patients for line placement, perform the procedure, and conduct related follow-up care.

Responsibilities of Vascular Access PICC Nurse

• Evaluate patients for venous access needs and develop a plan of care.
• Perform venous access procedures, PICC and Mid-line.
• Utilize ultrasound and other imaging techniques to assist with PICC and Mid-line placement procedures.
• Provide any patient education needs regarding for pre and post PICC and Mid-line insertion.
• Ensure that all procedures are performed in a safe and effective manner.
• Document all procedures and patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide quality patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Uses the knowledge of one’s own role and the roles of other professions to appropriately assess and address the health care needs of the patients and populations served
• Demonstrates commitment to providing evidence based practice care by: adhering to protocols for the care of patient populations in which assigned, reporting needed changes in practice supported by evidence, and participating in evaluating patient outcomes utilizing evidence.
• Delegates appropriate components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing team.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and family information by promoting professional interdisciplinary communication
• Respects Patient Rights and demonstrates behaviors of a Patients’ First Philosophy.
• Incorporates the CCAD Professional Practice model and patient safety principles into clinical practice.
• Responsible for completing charge capture education and in-service training for their Institute within CCAD. When charges are not captured automatically the nurse will complete within Epic in real time.

Qualifications & Experience of Vascular Access PICC Nurse

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Vascular Access PICC Nurse at CCAD:

• Bachelor’s in Nursing or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of nursing experience.
• Valid and active national license.
• BLS certification.
