Technical Engineer Full-time

Guildhall is currently recruiting for a client in financial technology and payments sector who is passionate about building modern, secure, and user-friendly financial solutions, and they are looking for a Technical Engineer to join their team in Dubai. In this role, you will design, build, and support advanced technical solutions that make payment and financial systems safe, fast, and easy to use. You should have strong development skills, experience with APIs and microservices, and be able to turn business needs into working technical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain company APIs that connect with supplier and bank systems.
• Ensure secure and smooth integrations with fintech and banking APIs.
• Work on both front-end and back-end to create complete and user-friendly solutions.
• Use technologies such as Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript), Python, Java/Kotlin, C# (.NET Core), and SQL.
• Design and create microservices for financial operations and analytics.
• Make sure services are scalable, modular, and easy to maintain.
• Improve payment processing, fraud detection, and compliance systems.
• Work with other teams to make sure development meets business goals and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fintech, payments, or data-driven industries.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, API development, and full-stack development (front-end & back-end).
• Solid understanding of microservice architecture, real-time transaction processing, and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of software security, financial compliance standards, and PCI-DSS requirements.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and cloud-based payment platforms.
• Skilled in API integrations, scalable backend systems, and secure API practices (OAuth2.0, KMS).
• Familiarity with GCP services (Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Run, GKE) and Terraform.
• Experience with AI/ML models for fraud detection, risk management, and monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving ability with the capacity to explain technical work in clear, simple terms.
• Knowledge of financial regulations, settlement processes, and payment gateways.
• Contributions to open-source fintech projects are a plus.
