Job Purpose of A Team Leader Banqueting
- Supervise all operational aspects of Banqueting including the development and performance management of colleagues, optimizing profits, and increasing sales.
- Supervise scheduled shifts ensuring guest satisfaction and all operational issues ensuring JI & MJs.
Duties of A Team Leader Banqueting
- Maintain awareness of Outlet(s) financial performance.
- Utilize up selling and suggestive selling techniques to enhance the Outlets financial performance.
- Make recommendations to the Outlet Manager for price and menu changes that will enhance profitability.
- Supervise and monitor breakage of chinaware and glassware and the implementation of strategies to reduce where possible.
- Respond to and try to fulfil any special banquet event arrangements.
- Set up banquet area/room, ensuring cleanliness and proper set up of furniture/equipment.
- Inspect and maintain table set-ups for cleanliness, neatness and agreement with group requirements and company standards, and resolve any problems.
- Supervises effectiveness of workflow and sequence of service during service periods and provides constant hands-on support.
- Supervises closely and monitors the cashiering function of the outlet to ensure compliance with JI Cashiering Procedures.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
- Informs Outlet Manager / Assistant Manager of any complaints, negative feedback from guest after they first try to resolve.
- Actively uses the database of customer details / history to assist in guest recognition.
What you’ll Do More?
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of F&B SOPs and ensure these are upheld at all times through constant observation and coaching.
- Assist the Outlet Manager / Assistant Manager in the implementation of the marketing activities and to achieve desired results.
- Conduct the pre-service shift briefing in the absence of Outlet Manager / Assistant Manager
- Ensure opening and closing checklist are completed on a daily basis.
- Supervise and monitor the completion of weekly cleaning schedules.
- Conduct regular briefings and training sessions to ensure all colleagues receive the information necessary to perform their jobs.
- Assist the Outlet Manager / Assistant Manager to develop and update F&B knowledge of all colleagues on a regular basis.
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant sections within the JI Food Hygiene SOP and assist the Outlet Manager / Assistant Manager ensuring the outlet meets these standards at all times.
- Carry out any other tasks defined by the F&B or Senior Management
- Undertake assigned additional duties when required.
- Ensure all colleagues attend scheduled training programs.
- Clearly understands their role in an emergency or evacuation.

Qualification
- Secondary education.
Experience
- 2 years supervisory experience in a 5-star hotel.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Fluent in English.
- Must possess interpersonal skills. and ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
- Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications (micros, epicure).
- Additional language (Desired).
