Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Business, Economics, and Mathematics for Key Stages 4 and 5 (IGCSE, A Level, and IB Diploma).
• Teach core topics: micro and macroeconomics, business management, finance, and pure/ applied mathematics, using real‑world case studies and data.
• Use a range of formative and summative assessments to track student progress, analyse data, and provide targeted feedback that raises attainment.
• Create an inclusive, discussion‑rich classroom that encourages critical thinking, debate, and independent research.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Business, Economics, and Maths departments to develop schemes of work and share best practice.
• Support students with university and career pathways in finance, economics, and STEM fields through personalised mentoring.
• Participate in the school’s extra‑curricular programme, such as Model United Nations, enterprise clubs, or maths competitions.

Requirements And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field, plus a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., QTS).
• Considerable teaching experience in Business, Economics, and/or Mathematics at IGCSE, A Level, or IB in a British curriculum school.
• Strong subject knowledge across at least two of the three disciplines (ideally all three).
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills. Fluent English required.
• Ability to meet UAE visa requirements (valid teaching qualification, experience, and documentation).
• A clean enhanced DBS or equivalent police check covering the last 10 years.
