Tailor at Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Dubai Accor is responsible to ensure to mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and employee uniforms by hand stitching, applying adhesive patches, or using a sewing machine. The vacancy was announced by the hotel on March 1, 2024.
Responsibilities of Tailor
- Perform timely repairs on all items of uniform, linen, and upholstery.
- Stitch new uniforms, and items of linen and upholstery as per hotel specifications.
- Ensure that all linen and uniforms are repaired before issuing them to staff.
- Measure, make, or alter uniforms for new employees
- Take care of basic alterations requested by guests.
- Repair and maintain uniforms for all hotel employees.
- Convert discarded linen into usable items for re circulation.
- Organize and take inventory of all fabric materials.
- To liaise with Uniform making companies regarding measurement taking, sizes, stitching details etc…
- Keep the tailoring area clean and tidy.
Requirements of Tailor
- High School Diploma or Certifications in tailoring or related fields like fashion design.
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
Skills and Knowledge Desired
- Profession tailoring skill is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for service.
