Job Description
Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL) is presently hiring skilled candidate for the job role a Supervisor Aviation Workshops. The successful candidate will assist the Workshops Management to accomplish aviation unit and intermediate maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on all assigned aircraft components.
Duties of Supervisor Aviation Workshops
- Supervises and provides technical guidance to subordinate personnel performing maintenance of aircraft avionic/electrical/instrument/battery equipment.
- Evaluates maintenance operations and facilities for compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and operational policies.
- Ensures subordinates manage all forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751 and related publications.
- Performs maintenance trend analysis and applies production control, quality control, and other maintenance management principles to avionic / electrical repair shop operations.
- Instructs personnel and conducts technical training in aircraft avionic/electrical/instruments/battery and related components on maintenance, supply and safety techniques.
- Evaluates the technical training program on host nation personnel.
- Serves as the focal point for all parts, tools, shop stock and supply requisitions.
- Maintains accountability for all tools and equipment assigned to the shop.
- Keeps a current technical library in accordance with shop mission and equipment.
- Responsible for all safety matters of personnel and equipment assigned to the Avionic/Electrical Workshop.
- Responsible for oversight, guidance and counseling of all personnel assigned to them.
- Responsible for enhancement Shop’s capabilities.
Eligibility Requirements
The requirements for job role of Supervisor Aviation Workshops are as under:
- High School Must have a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal Avionics training course from an accredited military or civilian aeronautical school.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with aircraft avionics and instrument systems.
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
Knowledge Desired
-
Knowledgeable on The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
