Service Advisor | Al-Futtaim Automotive | FAMCO Dubai Full-time

This role acts as the primary liaison between customers and the workshop for generators and marine engines, ensuring service needs are understood and addressed promptly. You will prepare service quotations, obtain customer approvals, follow up on payments, and close job work in progress (WIP) immediately after completion. Consequently, your ability to upsell value‑added services, preventive maintenance contracts, and parts recommendations directly drives customer satisfaction, loyalty, and business profitability within Al‑Futtaim’s authorized OEM dealership network.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and technicians, building strong rapport. Empathize and clarify customer requests, then apprise the service team on actual jobs to be carried out and their status.
• Prepare service quotations and service reports. Follow up on customer approvals for all recommended work.
• Follow up on customer payments, clear all outstanding balances, and close jobs/WIPs immediately once completed – therefore ensuring no aged WIPs remain pending.
• Upsell value‑added services, convert additional jobs, obtain supplementary estimate approvals, and recommend preventive maintenance and parts based on service reports and machine history.
• Promote service packages and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) agreements to existing and new customers.
• Follow up on job completion with the workshop and spare parts teams. Ensure that time and cost estimations are met accurately.
• Perform billing, explain invoices, and detail jobs carried out to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Manage the number of job cards to meet business objectives, balancing volume with quality of service.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automobile, Marine, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with an authorized OEM dealership – minimum 3 years as a Service Advisor, preferably for generators or marine engines.
• Strong knowledge of automotive dealer/distributor business and workshop processes.
• Understanding of commercials, service products, service contracts, value‑added services, upselling techniques, maintenance, and parts requirements.
• Technical knowledge of diesel engines, driveline, electrical systems, and spare parts.
• Understanding of warranty policy, service guidelines, complaint codes, fault codes, repair operational codes, customer voice metrics, and ROT‑wise/service‑wise parts consumption.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, SAP, ARIBA, and CRM/DBM systems.
• Arabic speaker is preferable, with professional English proficiency.
