NMC Healthcare is looking to hire a candidate for the job role of a Senior Registered Nurse in NICU in NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Ain, UAE. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 8000-17000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Senior Registered Nurse

- Follow and comply with the NMC Competency Framework, relevant to their role profile
- Be willing to learn new clinical skills
- Support and supervise pre-registration and new nurses and Health Care Workers when required
- Participate in teaching, mentorship and preceptorship programs when required
- Participate in clinical supervision
- Participate in Performance Improvement Plans when required
- Share knowledge and skill with others, in order to improve patient care and service
- Ensure they are skilled, trained and competent before using any medical device.

Registered Nurse – Neonatal will:
- Develop and maintain a learning culture amongst nurses, particularly in the specialist field in which they work
- Be a role model and always seek to improve the safety and quality of care delivered to patients in the specialist field.
- Work with newborn infants across the continuum to support primary, acute, chronic, and critical care to neonates and infants suffering from various a problem such as premature infants and those with congenital disabilities.
- Understand aspects of testing the cognitive development of newborn.
- Perform neonatal screening.
- Conduct examinations, record patient histories, monitor patient progress and consult with treating physicians.
- Support mothers and families to select an effective care plan for the patients.
- Monitor the health of infants directly after birth.
- Educate new parents about breastfeeding and the care of their child.
- Administer medications and monitor patients for any side effects and reactions
- Administer treatments such as IV fluids or blood products and monitor patients for any reactions
- Employ strategies to promote patients’ health and a safe environment.
- Understand different diagnostic tests and laboratory exams.
- Perform essential life support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- OSHMS activities:
- Comply with reasonable OSH instructions, policies and safe working procedures
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
- Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Not willfully or recklessly endanger anyone’s health and safety.
- Assist with the preparation of risk assessments.
- Report OSH Hazards, incidents, Near misses and issues.
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycling of waste as much as possible.
- Attend all OSH trainings, awareness programs, and mock drills.
- Participates in the OSHMS audits and inspections, ensuring standards are maintained.

Requirements for Role of Senior Registered Nurse
- Have a post graduate qualification in the specialist filed.
- Have an appropriate license to work as a nurse in the relevant regulatory health authority (DoH, DHA) with all the qualification and experience this mandates.
- Have previous experience within the specialist field.
- Have basic life support qualification (within past 24 months)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent post-graduate experience.
