The Senior Procurement Specialist at Talabat will be responsible to manage end to end procurement support on a range of complex procurement activities, managing, negotiating, playing a key role for procurement team and delivery of procurement sourcing strategies within the designated categories of expenditure.

Responsibilities of Senior Procurement Specialist

  • Manage and coordinate all Procurement related requirements through the defined procurement process.
  • Ensure to manage Procurement Budget through weekly and monthly Procurement Report and Dashboard.
  • To maintain the correct resource (equipment/facilities/materials/services) Inventory for respective location.
  • Negotiate and take decision with supplier for the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
  • Working closely with Finance team and local suppliers to procure the correct requirement as per company policy from multiple sources at competitive prices.
  • Responding to all local procurement and supply enquiries regularly via all communication channels, including in person.
  • Raising purchase orders for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
  • Create and maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure that the products and supplies with high quality standards.
  • Execute and ensure appropriate procurement processes and policies are in place.
  • Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
  • To support the procurement process enhancement with new system or technologies.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for the role of a Senior Procurement Specialist are as under:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3-5 years’ Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills to ensure both short- and long-term business goals, objectives, and targets are met.
  • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accuracy and precise attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with management and staff at all levels.
