As Talabat continues to grow and keep ahead of the curve, they have launched their very own end-end grocery service across MENA region namely tMart. Currently Talabat is looking for a Senior Manager Supply Chain to join the team and focus on growing the Grocery Store “tMart”, which is the region’s first cloud store concept offering 30 minute delivery of groceries at hypermarket prices. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall Supply Chain, Warehousing, Logistics, Operations, Demand Planning and Forecast and System implementation.

Duties of Senior Manager Supply Chain

• Set and define overall Supply Chain strategy and define standards guidelines for all the Supply chain aspects in all Countries of Region.
• Work with respective Country Supply chain managers on guidelines and Supply chain strategy.
• Ensure these guidelines are implemented across various functions in all countries.
• Ensure that supply chain operations have supplier development strategies and provide guidance to supply chain teams on effective development techniques.
• Review organization Supply Chain structures and staffing levels to ensure effective and cost efficient support to business.
• Identify Regional team capacity building opportunities and promote training and other development activities.
• Work with respective country team to improve Forecasting accuracy and availability of SKUs in store.
• Ensure effective season management across Darks Stores in the region (stock balancing, stock analysis, stock vs sales performance.
• Review the assortment on a periodic basis with regional commercial team and country GMs to ensure profit is maximized and maintained to reach target levels.
• Define and ensure excess category inventory is not maintained in DC or the stores and there is proper adherence to the concept/territory ageing policy.
• Set the replenishment model from Supplier to DC to stores.
• Responsible for optimizing the inventory in the DC and stores.
• Define KPI and prepare the various report with analytics team for Senior Management.
• Monitor overall supply chain operation to ensure supply chain-related shrinkage is minimized.
• Ensuring interaction with local functions (Commercial, OPS, Inventory Control) to optimize the country supply chain.
• Monitor and manage the DC management , Transport and Traffic costs against the budget.
• Establish and ensure compliance about processes and Operations in Warehouse.
• Monitor daily and weekly DC KPIs and share with Local country head and drive the improvement in operations.

Requirements for Role of Senior Manager Supply Chain

• Bachelor’s degree in the field of Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field.
• Have at least 10 plus years hands on experience in End to End supply chain, Warehousing, Logistics, Demand Planning, Inventory Management & System implementations.
• Experience in retail groceries, ideally.
• Experience in forecasting models and supplier scheduling.
• Have experience in setting up a warehouse and implementation of a warehouse management system.

Skills & knowledge Desired

• Analytical skills, big data manipulation and advanced ease with excel.
• Detail oriented, structured and know how to prioritize work.
• Able to interact with senior level executives and can manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders
• Must have excellent analytical and communication skills and always like to be hands on with several tools.
