Senior Manager – Health & Safety | MAF Entertainment | Head Office Dubai – United Arab Emirates Full-time

This role sets and delivers the health and safety strategy and direction for MAFE’s operational businesses across the region, therefore developing, implementing, and continually improving the HSE management system, digital platforms, and the HSE Approved Training Centre. You will ensure compliance with ISO 45001, 14001, 9001, 22000 and local legal requirements, while leading the digital transformation of inspections, audits, incident reporting, and automated analysis dashboards. Consequently, your expertise in mechanical rides operations, EN 13814 standards, and stakeholder management directly supports business expansion, revenue growth, and the highest standards of customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Majid Al Futtaim’s business expansion and objectives through the highest standards of customer experience, stakeholder management, and cost‑effective resource management.
• Participate in the preparation of Board papers, therefore articulating business goals and investments while developing strategies to achieve agreed objectives.
• Ensure the organisation’s HSE management system remains compliant with ISO 45001, 14001, 9001, 22000, EN 13814, and local legal requirements.
• Oversee the planning and deployment of the MAFE HSE audit plan, keeping all key stakeholders updated on H&S performance.
• Provide periodic updates to MAFE Senior Leadership (Operational Leads for Cinemas, Leisure & Entertainment, and Country Heads), therefore keeping all stakeholders abreast of business safety and health performance.
• Lead the digital transformation of department and operations processes, including checklists, inspections, audits, incident reporting, and digital analysis.
• Lead the digital hub that functions as unified business libraries (policies, procedures, and forms), developing automated analysis tools using statistical outputs and dashboards.
• Manage mechanical rides operations and yearly inspections, ensuring compliance with leisure‑specific international standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in HSE management. A solid understanding of construction and engineering (mechanical & electrical) is an advantage.
• Experience dealing with mechanical rides operations and yearly inspections is preferable.
• Thorough knowledge of HSEQ, leisure‑specific, and technical international standards including EN 13814, ISO 45001, 9001, 14001, and 17020.
• University degree or equivalent in a technical discipline, plus a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).
• Strong problem‑solving skills, using management information to evaluate issues and demonstrate a clear plan of corrective and preventive measures.
• Strong communication skills in English (fluent spoken and written Arabic is preferable).
• Willingness to travel regionally, with occasional international travel required.
• Proven ability to lead digital transformation initiatives and develop automated analysis dashboards.
