Senior Data Scientist at NMC Healthcare in NMC Corporate, Alain Tower, Abu Dhabi, UAE will be responsible for analyzing data using statistical techniques, implementing and maintaining databases, gathering data from primary and secondary sources, identifying, analyzing, interpreting trends from these data using dashboarding and modelling tools. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 25000-50000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Senior Data Scientist
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of healthcare data to extract actionable insights and identify trends that can inform strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement data cleaning and preprocessing techniques to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Design and build automated dashboarding tools.
- Design and build predictive models and algorithms to support various healthcare-related applications, including patient care optimization, resource allocation, and risk prediction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, administrators, and IT professionals, to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Utilize analytical and statistical tools to perform exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing, effectively communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Maintain and optimize databases and data infrastructure to support efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in data science, healthcare informatics, and related fields, incorporating best practices into our data science workflows.
Requirements for Role of Senior Data Scientist
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or a related field;
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience working as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, within the healthcare industry.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a data scientist or a similar role.
- Healthcare experience in UAE will be advantageous.
- Experience working with healthcare-related datasets, such as electronic health records (EHR), claims data, and medical imaging data, is a plus.
- Experience and understanding of statistical techniques such as GLMs, probability distributions, hypothesis testing and statistical correlations.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data modeling techniques, with hands-on experience implementing algorithms and building predictive models.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Proficiency in data manipulation, cleaning, and preprocessing techniques using Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, R and similar programming languages.
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards and regulations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present complex findings in a clear manner.
