The position is open exclusively to Filipino nationals and suits a registered nurse with paediatric or school nursing experience who brings both clinical competency and the patience and communication skills that working with children requires. Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff. Assess presentations calmly, deliver appropriate immediate treatment, and escalate serious cases to hospital when required.
• Monitor and manage student health records and medical histories. Maintain accurate, complete documentation of all medical cases in line with DOH and school policy requirements.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments to students per DOH guidelines and parental authorisation. Follow medication administration protocols without exception.
• Handle minor injuries and illnesses independently. Provide appropriate clinical care and decide confidently when to escalate cases to external medical facilities.
• Conduct routine health screenings covering vision, hearing, BMI, and other health indicators. Report findings to parents and school administration as appropriate.
• Promote health awareness and hygiene practices among students. Deliver age-appropriate health education and reinforce good hygiene behaviours across the school environment.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH) regulations across all clinical activities, health record management, and medication administration.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and school administration on student health concerns. Communicate findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions clearly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked school clinic. Monitor medical supplies, equipment readiness, and infection control standards consistently.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Nationality: Filipino (mandatory) — this is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Valid DOH licence or eligibility to practise as a Registered Nurse in Abu Dhabi.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience in a clinical setting. School nursing or paediatric nursing experience is strongly preferred.
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, current at time of appointment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, teachers, and school administrators.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle children with care and professionalism across a range of health presentations and emotional states.
• Previous experience as a school nurse in the UAE is a strong advantage.
• Experience working with children or in a paediatric clinical setting is preferred.
