Ain Al Fayedha School is hiring a School Counsellor – Immediate Start Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi. This is a full-time position.

Bloom Education needs a passionate School Counsellor for an immediate start in Al Ain. This full time role involves supporting students’ emotional, social, and academic wellbeing. You will work in the Charter Schools programme. Your goal is to help students overcome challenges and thrive in school. You will also collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leaders. If you have a relevant BA degree in Counselling and at least two years of postgraduate experience, this role is for you. Arabic language skills are an advantage. Key Responsibilities for School Counsellor

• Provide counselling support to students individually or in small groups. Address emotional, social, and behavioural concerns. Help students develop coping strategies and resilience.
• Work closely with teachers and parents to identify students who need support. Share observations and recommend interventions. Collaborate with school leadership to create a positive school environment.
• Conduct assessments to understand student needs. Use evidence based approaches in your counselling practice. Keep accurate and confidential records of student sessions.
• Support students facing challenges such as anxiety, bullying, family issues, or academic stress. Provide crisis intervention when needed. Promote mental health awareness across the school.
• Participate in professional development opportunities. Stay updated on best practices in school counselling. Finally, contribute to a vibrant learning community that values diversity and innovation.

Qualifications

You need a relevant BA degree in Counselling. A minimum of two years of postgraduate experience is required. Arabic language skills are an advantage. You must set high standards for yourself and others. You will conduct yourself with integrity. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team is also important. A commitment to child protection and safeguarding is non negotiable.
