RIGGING CHARGEHAND Full-time

NMDC Group is hiring a Rigging Chargehand for its Energy BU in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role leads a team of riggers performing lifting, slinging, load handling and material movement activities across offshore platforms, fabrication yards and onshore project sites on complex EPC works.

Responsibilities

• Supervise rigging crews in daily lifting plans, load tests, slinging and material handling tasks.
• Inspect rigging gear (slings, shackles, chain blocks, beam clamps) and remove defective equipment from service.
• Brief crews on lift plans, exclusion zones, permit-to-work conditions and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate with cranes, signalmen, banksmen and Lifting Supervisor on critical and tandem lifts.
• Maintain rigging registers, colour-coding records and ensure compliance with NMDC HSE and lifting standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of rigging experience in oil & gas, marine or heavy industrial construction.
• Valid third-party rigger certification (OPITO/LEEA preferred).
• Ability to read and apply lifting plans and risk assessments.
• Good spoken English and willing to mobilise offshore as required.
