Job Description

As Revenue Optimisation Manager (Data Analytics) at Emirates Airlines, candidate will be responsible for implementing Revenue Optimization (RO) policies and maximizing revenue for the region utilizing Origin and Destination, Pricing and Inventory Management tools to achieve optimum revenue. Candidate will achieve defined RO Key Performance Indicators – Yield, Route profitability, seat factor and market share and coach regional teams in development/implementation of new decision support systems. Job holder will also be responsible for analyzing market trends that influence Emirates’ commercial performance, provide network-wide pricing recommendations that optimize corporate revenue, route yield and profitability.

Responsibilities of Revenue Optimisation Manager

  • Direct the periodical reporting of Revenue Optimization KPIs according on a worldwide, region and country level. This will include trend and gap analysis and proposed solutions.
  • Influence both the Revenue Optimization and Commercial Senior Management team by providing ad-hoc historical.
  • Predictive reports for the definition of Emirates Revenue Optimization Strategic Priorities.
  • Lead and manage the regular and ad-hoc data reporting and analysis for all Revenue Optimization stakeholders.
  • Support the Revenue Optimization leadership and Operational teams by identifying periods of weakness at point of sale or route level to highlight deviations from targets and commercial opportunities.
  • Envisage, adapt and evolve the business processes, data and systems usage in the Revenue Optimization department.
  • Ensure that the business analysis processes and systems operate in tandem to maximize revenue opportunities for Emirates. Support Senior Management, route managers and route area teams as well as other departmental needs around revenue optimization analysis and data.
  • Run analytics for various what-if scenarios, business contingencies and impact analyses and reacting to unanticipated business conditions ensuring timely decision-making leading to quantum revenue gains and cost savings for the business.
  • Implement the agreed Revenue Optimization strategy for Emirates that includes the integration of Origin and Destination management, Pricing and multi-channel sales strategies, revenue targets, yield targets, flight management targets for the assigned regions.

What you will do more

  • Evaluate trends in market conditions using information available from various sources, including market intelligence reports relative to competitor activities, political/economic trends/industry development and drive route profitability encompassing optimum cabin/class/point of sale mix.
  • Plan & evaluate tour operator proposals from the network for Medium (1-3 years). Short term allotments aimed at enhancing revenue growth by providing visible presence for Emirates in the Tour Operator Market.
  • Plan, develop & implement strategy along with HR management training and development, performance appraisals and quality management issues.
  • Conduct RO forecast meetings with the Market Operation teams to define. Develop strategies to maximize revenue and yield across the network.
  • Ensure both route & market strategies are in place across a rolling 52 week period & necessary controls are in place.
  • Ensure controls used to steer traffic across the network are agreed across both the Inventory, Market Operations. And RO Analytics teams and are implemented within PROS OD or MARS in a timely manner.
  • Disseminate forecast information to the leadership team and highlight revenue earning opportunities.

Requirements for Role of Revenue Optimisation Manager

  • Degree or honours in Data Science, Information Technology Systems, mathematics/statistics or related to the transportation industry.
  • 8+ years’ experience in Revenue Optimization Systems/ Airline Reservation Systems / Fare Quote Engine/ Booking & Revenue integrity/ Group booking systems.
  • 5 years experience in Revenue Management in the airline industry, Data Analytics/Systems analyst roles.
  • Experience in Revenue Management techniques- pricing & capacity management. Experience in PROS Origin Destination RMA and RTDP system will be an advantage.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Working knowledge of Advanced Excel, VB Script and SQL.
  • Knowledge of IATA tariff, Ticketing and Revenue accounting will be beneficial.
