Quality Control Engineer Al Masaood Abu Dhabi

Al Masaood presently has a job opening for suitably experienced candidate for position of a Quality Control Engineer in Abu Dhabi. The selected candidate will be responsible to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications in all phases of the construction process. Responsibilities of Quality Control Engineer

• ASME Quality Control Manual Preparation and implementation.
• DNV 2.7-1, 2.7-2 Documentation.
• Implementing Quality management system and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, process and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
• Prepare/review of inspection & test plans, quality plans, weld maps, welding & NDE procedures etc.
• Qualifying welders as per approved WPS & PQR in accordance with applicable ASME & EN standards.
• Preparation of stage wise quality inspection reports, like fit-up, dimensional, welding, pneumatic/hydro test reports & painting inspection reports etc.
• Process inspection of all products as per ITP, quality plans, approved drawings and job specifications.
• Monitoring all welders and welding related activities and carry-out visual inspection before, during & after welding.
• Preparing Technical Delivery Conditions (TDC) for materials.
• Material Test Certificate (MTC) Review.
• Prepare Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures and report.
• Planning, Managing and coordinating with third party inspectors, ASME-AI and outsourced vendors/suppliers.
• Managing all NDE activities like planning, coordinating with NDE subcontractors, review of radiographic films, witnessing of MPI, LPT, UT and review of test reports.
• Monitoring/Inspection of painting activities (surface preparation, wet & dry film thickness and paint defects etc.) as per ITP stages.
• Issue Non-Conformance Report & verification of corrective/preventive actions.
• Offers technical guidance and support in response to quality testing and analysis.

Requirements for Role of Quality Control Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/manufacturing engineering (BE / B. Tech).
• 5-7 years experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance or a similar role.
• CSWIP 3.0, CSWIP 3.1 certification would be Plus.
• ASNT NDT Level II certification.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

• Sound Knowledge Process inspection, welding and fabrication activities.
• Should have exposure in ASME, DNV, AWS, ISO Standards.
• Should have exposure in ASME ‘U’ Certification or recertification process.
