Professor/Associate Professor Prosthodontics University of Sharjah

The College of Dental Medicine at the University of Sharjah is seeking a well qualified candidate for a full time position i.e. Professor/Associate Professor in Prosthodontics. The applicant should have a proven record of postgraduate teaching and research as College develops its taught postgraduate education and forges a research culture and aspires to be the leading dental school in the Gulf region and the world.

Accountabilities & Expectations of Professor/Associate Professor Prosthodontics

• The appointee must have extensive experience in implantology and digital dentistry.
• Applicant needs to have a strong Scopus H Index and be a proven researcher.
• Appointee will provide didactic and clinical training to postgraduate students in the specialty of prosthodontics and supervise their research projects.
• Applicant will also be involved in undergraduate teaching and curriculum development for this discipline.
• The appointee will participate and collaborate in one of the 3 multidisciplinary research groups, Wound Healing and Oral Diagnostics, Biomaterials and Biomimetics, and Microbiota.
• Selected candidates are expected to provide clinical services at the University of Sharjah’s Center of Excellence and other community activities.

Eligibility Requirements

The requirements for role of Professor/Associate Professor Prosthodontics are as under:

• BDS or DDS, and PhD or equivalent doctoral degree.
• Postgraduate training and minimum 5 years of experience in Prosthodontics discipline.
• Experience in postgraduate teaching and clinical supervision.
• Proven record of research.
• Applicant must hold a full valid dental licence in Prosthodontics in the country of recruitment.
• Applicant must be eligible for UAE Ministry of Health dental license.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Excellent verbal and written communication in business in both Arabic and English.
• Proficiency in MS office applications.
