About the Role
The Procurement Lead at King’s College Hospital London UAE is responsible for managing the procurement of non-medical equipment and supplies across the hospital network. Furthermore, this role involves contract management, vendor relationships, and strategic sourcing to ensure cost-effective and efficient procurement operations. Moreover, the successful candidate will work closely with the Procurement Director and cross-functional departments to meet organizational procurement needs.
Key Responsibilities for Procurement Lead Non
- Manage procurement of various goods and services requirements for the hospital
- Lead the tender process from requirement identification through negotiation and contract award
- Draft and complete contracts in conjunction with the Legal team
- Establish and negotiate contract terms to secure advantageous supplier relationships
- Coordinate techno-commercial bid evaluations and related activities
- Investigate potential suppliers and assess supplier capabilities
- Manage the procurement process on the Oracle system
- Identify opportunities and implement actions to achieve cost efficiencies
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies and spend analysis for assigned categories
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and coordinate with logistics teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement, Contracts, and Tendering
- CPP or CIPS certification is an added advantage
- Proficient in Oracle and/or Cerner systems
- Knowledge of local suppliers and strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
