About the Role

As a Primary Teacher at Al Ain British Academy, you will deliver outstanding teaching and learning in line with the English National Curriculum. Furthermore, you will implement effective strategies to raise standards and ensure outstanding progress for all students across the ability range. Moreover, the role requires a proven track record of creating engaging learning environments, using assessment data to inform planning, and meeting the needs of SEN, EAL, and gifted students through effective differentiation. This position commences in August 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities for Primary Teacher at Al Ain British Academy Al Ain

• Create a climate for learning that is conducive to outstanding practice in primary education
• Plan and deliver lessons with clear teaching and learning objectives building on prior attainment
• Identify and meet the needs of SEN, EAL, and Gifted and Talented students through differentiation
• Make effective use of assessment for learning and performance data to inform planning
• Mark students’ work regularly and set targets for progress in accordance with school policy
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents and attend parent-student events
• Take part in subject development by producing and reviewing curriculum plans and schemes of work
• Make effective use of ICT to enhance learning and progress

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a classroom teacher in the English National Curriculum
• Proven track record of implementing effective strategies to raise standards
• Experience working in more than one international school
• Knowledge of current developments in education and child protection
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate resilience
