Primary Inclusion Teacher – August 2026 Full-time

This role collaborates with classroom teachers to support students with special educational needs in mainstream classrooms, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for each child. You will monitor progress, adjust teaching strategies, and provide guidance to staff on inclusive practices while communicating effectively with parents and external specialists. The position operates within Taaleem’s all-girls school environment, where your expertise in assistive technology and differentiated instruction directly ensures that students with diverse learning needs thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school staff to support the inclusion of students with special educational needs in mainstream classrooms across the primary phase.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with SEN, setting measurable goals and regular review cycles.
• Provide support and guidance to teachers on implementing inclusive practices, including differentiation, accommodations, and assistive technology tools.
• Monitor the progress of students with SEN using assessment data and observational methods, then adjust teaching strategies to meet evolving needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and external specialists (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists) to ensure coordinated support and best outcomes.
• Stay up-to-date on best practices in inclusive education, participating in professional development and applying contemporary research to daily practice.
• Create inclusive learning environments that foster independence, self-advocacy, and positive peer relationships for students with SEN.
• Adapt to changing situations with flexibility and patience, remaining a positive advocate for students with diverse learning needs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Needs Education, or a related field.
• Special Educational Needs (SEN) qualification is mandatory (e.g., Postgraduate Certificate in SEN, Master’s in Inclusive Education, or equivalent).
• Qualified teacher with a recognized teaching license (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting, preferably in primary years.
• Strong understanding of inclusive education practices, including differentiation, IEP development, and behavior management strategies.
• Proficiency in creating inclusive learning environments and familiarity with assistive technology to support student learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders including parents, teachers, and external professionals.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
