Role of Physiotherapist

To perform diagnosis, physical examinations, physical therapy and rehabilitation treatments for patients with injuries and disabilities in line DOH/DHA guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities of Physiotherapist

• Provide quality clinical care to assigned patients. Also provide support to other patients for assessment and intervention where required.
• Liaise with other health care professionals ensuring timely and appropriate interventions for the patient.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for providing individualized care throughout the treatment process.
• Provide evidence based, up to date treatment in a proficient manner.
• Identify and manage deterioration of patient’s health condition. Initiate appropriate action and escalate concerns of patient and family.
• Evaluate patient’s progress and continue / alter treatment program accordingly.
• Prioritize patient care based on continuous assessment of their ongoing needs.
• Prescribe medications and appropriate equipment/supplies.
• Educate patients and family.
• Record and document clinical activities as per hospital’s policies.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s / Doctor of Physiotherapy.
• 2-3 years of clinical experience.
• BLS certified.

Knowledge & Skills

• In depth knowledge of human anatomy.
• Proficient analysis skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
