Job Description

Pakistan Islamia Higher Secondary School (PIHSS) is seeking a qualified Physics Teacher in Sharjah, UAE. PIHSS Sharjah was established in September 1974. Initially the classes began with around 150 students but now the strength has increased to over 2300. In 1990, the school was put under the administrative control of the Consulate General of Pakistan. The spacious premises of the school comprise of separate facilities for each gender from class 4 onwards. It provides Academic excellence for the students, boosting their Self-esteem and Confidence.

Physics teachers show and explain the marvels of Physics, which underlies all the other science subjects, including biology, chemistry, Earth and Space science. Their work serves to develop the next Generation of Scientists and Engineers. They also help all students better Understand their physical world and how it works in their everyday lives.

Responsibilities of Physics Teacher

Prepare Materials and classrooms for class activities.
Instruct through Lectures, Discussions, and Demonstrations in one or more subjects, such as English, Mathematics, or social studies.
Establish and enforce rules for behavior and Procedures for maintaining order among students.
Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and Communicate those objectives to students.
Adapt Teaching methods and Instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and Administrative regulations.

What You’ll do

Observe and Evaluate students’ Performance, behavior, social Development, and physical health.
Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, Demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and Investigate.
Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, Counselors, and Administrators to resolve students’ behavioral and academic problems.
Assign and grade Physics class work and homework.
Prepare, Administer, and grade tests and Assignments to evaluate students’ progress.
Prepare students for later grades by Encouraging them to explore learning Opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks
Use computers, audio-visual aids, and other equipment and materials to Supplement Presentations.
Enforce all Administration policies and rules governing students.
Instruct and monitor students in the use of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage.
Attend Professional meetings, Educational Conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve Professional competence.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelors’ in Physics.
Masters Degree is preferable.
Relevant teaching experience at Secondary / Higher Secondary level.
