Dubai British School Emirates Hills is recruiting an outstanding English Teacher, commencing August 2026, to join our BSO and KHDA-rated ‘Outstanding’ international school.

Recruiting – English Teacher

We are seeking an outstanding English teacher with the ability to teach (I)GCSE and A Level, delivering lessons that develop deep literary understanding, high-quality analytical writing and a genuine appreciation for language and literature. You will stretch high attainers while supporting all learners to access complex texts, write with precision and sophistication, and think critically about writers’ craft, context and meaning. Experience teaching A Level English Language would be advantageous, as would a proven track record of strong student outcomes. We want a teacher who brings creativity, clarity and academic rigour to the classroom, fostering curiosity, confidence and a lifelong love of English.

Professional Requirements

Due to KHDA regulations, we only employ individuals with approved teacher status as well as a degree in their teaching subject area.

• High Quality Degree in English or related fields (Must be MOFA Attested).
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Must be MOFA Attested).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the National Curriculum for England in the UK or UAE.
• GCSE and A Level teaching experience – Essential.
• Ability to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of outstanding results.
• A commitment to the wellbeing of all students within their care
• A willingness to make a broader contribution to school life.
• The ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced international, multicultural and demanding environment.
• An individual with confidence and a proven track record of outstanding results as a leading subject teacher.
