From conducting risk assessments and safety audits to delivering training and investigating incidents, your vigilance will protect hundreds of engineers, technicians, and production staff. Every safety inspection you complete and every hazard you eliminate will directly contribute to the group’s mission of zero harm in mission‑critical defence environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE programmes in compliance with UAE regulations, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards across manufacturing and R&D facilities.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver HSE training sessions, including induction programmes for new employees and refresher courses on specialised topics (e.g., chemical handling, working at heights).
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near‑misses, compiling detailed reports with root cause analysis and actionable preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, including training logs, inspection checklists, incident registers, and permit‑to‑work documentation.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure firefighting equipment, first‑aid kits, and PPE are readily available and in good condition.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., ADNOC, EHSMS, SIRA) for inspections and reporting requirements.
• Support waste management initiatives, including hazardous material disposal and recycling programmes, in line with environmental regulations.
• Promote a positive safety culture by leading tool‑box talks, safety committees, and awareness campaigns.
• Provide HSE input for new projects, equipment installations, and process changes, ensuring risk assessments are completed before work begins.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in manufacturing, defence, aerospace, or industrial sectors.
• Certification such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent is mandatory. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 internal auditor certification is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, including ADNOC EHSMS, Dubai Municipality rules, and federal labour law.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, JSA) and incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication and training skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HSE management software (e.g., SAP EHS, Intelex).
• Valid UAE driving license and ability to travel to different EDGE facilities in Abu Dhabi as needed.
