Mashreq Bank is seeking an experienced Officer – Government Relations to join its Legal Division. This role is part of the UAE Government & Regulatory team and is responsible for managing the bank’s interactions with UAE government entities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and facilitating regulatory approvals across the bank’s operations in the UAE.
Key Result Areas
- Liaise with UAE government departments and regulatory authorities on behalf of the bank.
- Process and follow up on government-related documentation, licences, and approvals.
- Manage trade licence renewals, immigration matters, and labour-related filings.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission of regulatory paperwork.
- Maintain accurate records of all government correspondence and approvals.
- Stay updated on changes in UAE regulations that may impact the bank’s operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in government relations, preferably within the UAE banking or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of UAE government processes, ministries, and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Valid UAE driving licence.
- UAE National preferred for this role.
