About the Role

The Native Arabic Teacher – Secondary will deliver high-quality Arabic language instruction to native-speaking students at the secondary level, teaching in line with the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum up to Year 13. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning engaging and differentiated lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering high levels of academic achievement. The role contributes meaningfully to the broader school community and reports to the Head of the Arabic Department. Moreover, the position plays a vital part in promoting UAE values and national identity through classroom practice and school-wide initiatives.

Key Responsibilities for Native Arabic Teacher

• Deliver Arabic lessons in full alignment with the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum
• Teach Arabic to native speakers at the secondary level, including up to Year 13
• Plan and prepare engaging, well-structured, and differentiated lesson plans
• Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive and timely feedback
• Support high levels of student achievement in Arabic language and literature
• Promote UAE values and national identity through consistent teaching practice
• Contribute positively to the wider school community and extracurricular programmes
• Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning, moderation, and professional learning
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and written reports
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing

Requirements

• Relevant teaching qualification in Arabic language education (e.g., PGCE equivalent or Ministry-recognised certification)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Arabic Language, Literature, Linguistics, or a related field
• Experience teaching Ministry of Education Arabic curriculum to native students, preferably up to Year 13
• Native Arabic speaker with strong command of Modern Standard Arabic
• Excellent spoken English for effective communication in a multilingual school environment
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Classroom, Sheets) is desirable
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
