MYP/DP Psychology Teacher in Dubai: Job Description

Join an established Psychology team in the heart of Dubai for the 2026–27 academic year. Furthermore, GEMS World Academy is hiring an MYP/DP Psychology Maternity Cover Teacher from August 2026 to support both Middle Years and Diploma Programme students through the cover period. In addition, the role comes with structured handover, strong mentoring, and full department support.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver MYP Individuals & Societies and DP Psychology lessons aligned to the IB framework.
• Additionally, guide students through internal assessment design and analysis at DP level.
• Use formative data to personalise stretch tasks and intervention.
• Furthermore, build critical-thinking skills through enquiry-based teaching.
• Collaborate with the department on moderation, reporting, and exam preparation.
• Moreover, communicate progress clearly to students, parents, and Heads of Year.
• Above all, champion the IB Learner Profile and uphold safeguarding standards.

Required Skills & Experience for the MYP/DP Psychology Teacher

• Bachelor of Education, or a relevant degree with a PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent Psychology qualification.
• Additionally, at least three years of Secondary or High School Psychology teaching experience.
• Working knowledge of the IBDP framework and Approaches to Teaching (preferred).
• Furthermore, confidence preparing students for DP internal and external assessment.
• Strong collaboration and classroom-communication skills.
• Availability to start August 2026.
• Also, a valid UAE work visa already in place.
• Plus, a UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
