Sharaf Retail is currently seeking to hire a candidate for the job role of a Merchandise Planner in Near Chilis Rest, Garhoud, Dubai, UAE. This is an Entry level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 6000-12000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.
Responsibilities of Merchandise Planner
- Work with the Planning Manager to develop and implement merchandise planning strategies based on sales data and market trends.
- Create and manage merchandise assortment plans to drive sales and meet inventory targets.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance metrics, including inventory turnover, gross margin, and sell-through rates.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the profitability of merchandise categories and take appropriate actions to achieve targets.
- Collaborate with Category Managers and Vendors to negotiate prices, buying discounts, order volumes and time- scales.
- Plan and execute promotions to maximize sales.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager, Store Managers and Product Experts on allocations, store replenishment and stock consolidation to increase sell-through and overall revenue.
- Assess effectiveness of product display and store layouts.
- Collaborate with the AHQ Website team to ensure proper visibility and correct pricing of product lines.
- Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc.
- Review competitors’ pricing, marketing, and other product assortment.
- Remain up to date with industry’s best practices.
Requirements for Role of Merchandise Planner
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1-2 years working experience in merchandising planning and buying.
