Responsibilities of A MEP BIM Coordinator

• Lead and manage the BIM process for MEP systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with project teams to develop and implement BIM execution plans.
• Ensure that all BIM models are created, maintained, and updated according to project requirements and standards.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of MEP systems within the overall project design.
• Facilitate regular BIM coordination meetings and workshops with project teams.
• Communicate BIM-related issues and solutions to all relevant parties.
• Conduct regular quality checks and clash detection reviews on BIM models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards.
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies or conflicts in the BIM models.
• Prepare and maintain BIM-related documentation, including models, drawings, and reports.
• Generate and distribute regular progress reports on BIM activities to project stakeholders.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a MEP BIM Coordinator are as under:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in MEP BIM coordination in the GCC region.
• Background in design consulting companies is a MUST.
• Experience with clash detection and resolution.

Desired Skills

• Proficiency in BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
