Marine Insurance Group Manager DP World Dubai

Marine Insurance Group Manager at DP World in Dubai who will be responsible for managing complex insurance policies, responsible for contract reviews, handling claims, negotiating insurance renewals and managing direct reports (1 to 2). The role requires a collaborative team mindset in order to form an integral part of a plus 50 person global insurance team. This a senior level full time role. The salary for this role ranges from 15000 AED to 30000 AED, which may be slightly negotiatable during the interview.

Duties of Marine Insurance Group Manager

• To design, negotiate, manage and administer appropriate global and operation-specific insurance contracts to ensure sound and cost-effective cover is in place in conjunction with the Group SVP Group Insurance, Group Manager Group Insurance and other Group Insurance personnel.
• Provide timely day to day support for DP World Marine services and any other DP World departments that rely on Marine insurance products.
• To manage claim processes of any significant claims, arising under these programmes.
• To provide a range of risk management support services to help manage risk at source.
• To provide management services for other insurance policies as and when required including those outside of standard Marine insurance policies, with guided support.
• Manager responsibilities for 1 direct report.
• Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities, understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Eligibility Requirements for Marine Insurance Senior Group Manager

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Substantial marine insurance experience in excess of 15 years
• Technical insurance management and commercial acumen.
• Technical contract review experience.
• Experience of working in multi-national organizations.
• 5 years exposure to international operations and working in a multi-cultural environment.
