Macro Quant Developer Charterhouse Abu Dhabi

Charterhouse is working in partnership with an international investment manager, who is currently looking to recruit a Macro Quant Developer to partner with their Macro investment management team.

About the Role

• Macro Quant developer will be working closely with the Portfolio Managers and Analysts across the EMEA Macro business to aid their trading execution.
• This role will also work with the central operations team.
• Build APIs for data and analytics, trading system developments and continuous improvement of back-end coding and systems.
• This role will work directly with the traders, ensuring they have the accurate information for decision making and executing trades.

Requirements of Macro Quant Developer

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Minimum:8 years’ experience within buyside quant development and an understanding of Macro trading strategies.
• Previous experience within a hedge fund and STEM degree would be extremely advantageous.

Skills and Abilities Desired

• The client builds models within Python, therefore, being an expert within this programming language is mandatory.
• Good communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Fluency in Arabic is advantageous.
• Proactive and skilled candidate.
• The ideal candidate will have a can-do approach and professional outlook with the ability to remain calm and focused when under pressure.
• Results-oriented mindset.
