Job Description

Dubai Ports (DP) World presently has a job opening for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for position of a Legal Counsel in Dubai. This is an Intermediate level full time role. For this position salary ranges from 7000-15000 AED, which may be slightly negotiable during the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective, reliable and user-friendly support, advice and assistance to senior managers within DP World on legal matters affecting any aspect of DP World’s business. Will act under the instructions and directions of Senior Legal Counsels.
  • Review, draft and negotiate a broad range of legal documents (including consultancy agreements, services agreements, Lease agreements) ensuring that legal requirements are met within such documents. Will act under the instructions and directions of Senior Legal Counsels.
  • Provide reliable, commercially focused, advice in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Identify and analyze legal issues arising in transactions and new projects.  Make clear and commercially focused recommendations in respect of such issues after review by Senior Legal Counsels.
  • Analyze material disputes, and determine and implement strategy to be followed in each case.
  • Provide effective reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel.
  • Liaise with external counsel as required and streamline communications between other departments/ business units and external lawyers to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Filing and maintaining legal records of all the legal documentation for future reference.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements for Role of Legal Counsel

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB).
  • 2 years of legal experience, depending on the seniority of the role.
