Job Description

Mashreq Bank is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of Lean Program Manager. The role holder is responsible to oversee lean management initiatives at Mashreq Bank UAE, driving process improvements and operational excellence at a VP level. Responsibilities of Lean Program Manager

  • Provide initiation, definition, delivery and closure of Lean & Agile projects.
  • Manage multiple work stream in a deployment concurrently.
  • Execute projects with quantified revenue impact as well as material improvements in terms of customer experience in line with the overall strategy of the Customer Experience and Conduct group.
  • Coach and develop squads and the stakeholders on Lean and Agile practices
  • Coach and guide senior management on Mashreq Lean and Agile framework and support capability building in pilot and roll-out sites
  • Manage Lean and Agile maturity assessments ensuring sustainability in long run.
  • Manage Lean and Agile practices deployed across the bank from governance perspective
  • Facilitate group level projects/OKRs (Objective Key Results), ensuring that all project commitments are met.
  • Regularly present status updates, recommendations to the decision /leadership groups and key stakeholders, escalating major blockages as necessary.
  • Lead and conduct Lean and Agile maturity assessments pan bank and report out the performance to the senior management
  • Ensure execution of agile practices as per the agile operating model/framework
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the product owners/ business head in terms of defining, executing and achieving the OKRs
  • Devise and implement own self development plan for the team.
  • Assist squads/ business teams to resolve blockages through structured root cause problem solving
  • Have regular touchpoints with the senior management providing them updates and taking inputs on the road ahead
  • Plan, organize and facilitate projects/ OKRs in order to deliver quality business solutions within agreed timescales and to an agreed Terms of Reference.
  • Ensure collaboration between various stakeholders like business, operations, compliance, risk. technology etc. to ensure the objectives are clearly understood and deliverables are adhered to and documented.
  • Identifies and drives continuous improvements within the team as well as across agile squads.

Requirements of Lean Program Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field like Finance, Accounting, Banking, or Business
  • Overall work experience of at least 10-15 years.
  • Minimum experience of at least 7-8 years experience in related fields including Lean, agile practices, change management, process improvement, six sigma projects, customer focus initiatives etc.
  • Experience in external party Management.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Proven track record of successful managing major projects or elements of major change programs and recognized as a senior project management practitioner.
  • Proven application of Lean and agile techniques and knowledge of project methodologies.
  • Stakeholder management, Relationship Management, People Management, Change Management.
  • Risk & Issue Management.
  • Budget Management, Time & Resource Planning and Reporting.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook •
