About the Role

As a KS2 Primary Teacher at Al Ain British Academy, you will deliver outstanding teaching and learning in line with the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 2. Furthermore, you will implement effective strategies to raise standards and ensure outstanding progress for all students while demonstrating leadership skills at various levels. Moreover, the role requires creating engaging learning environments, using assessment data to inform planning, and meeting the needs of SEN, EAL, and gifted students through effective differentiation.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a climate for learning conducive to outstanding practice in Key Stage 2
• Plan and deliver lessons with clear teaching objectives building on prior attainment
• Identify and meet the needs of SEN, EAL, and Gifted and Talented students through differentiation
• Make effective use of assessment for learning and performance data to inform planning
• Mark students’ work regularly and set targets for progress
• Prepare and present informative reports to parents and attend school events
• Take part in subject development by producing and reviewing curriculum plans
• Make effective use of ICT to enhance learning and progress

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a classroom teacher in the English curriculum
• Proven track record of implementing effective strategies to raise standards
• Experience working in more than one international school
• Knowledge of current developments in education and child protection
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate resilience
