Job Description

IT Support Engineer at GAL in Khalifa City, Sector 33, Abu Dhabi, UAE will plan organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP). Maintain office IT equipment to ensure service quality and maximum performance. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on office IT equipment. Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks. Ability to comply with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 6000-12000 AED/month.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all relevant IT equipment is working according to normal office requirement.
Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system.
Load all require software, connect and setup hardware.
Provide orientation to new users of existing technology.
Monitor security of all technology.
Maintain log and/list of required repairs and maintenance.
Support the HQ Staff, ATC Training Academy Manager, and Staff members.
Provide recommendations about accessing information and support.
Regular contact with all employees up to Head of Department level as directed by the Project Leaders for the control and maintenance of all IT equipment including documentation.
Accountability for Actions & Impact: Accuracy and timeliness of output. Storage and retrieval of information.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements for Role of IT Support Engineer

Bachelor’s Degree in IT administration and software or equivalent.
Completion of approved training courses in Office IT administration.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the installation, maintenance and operation of various types of IT office equipment.
