Job Description
Al Masaood is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of a Internal Auditor in Abu Dhabi. The selected candidate will be responsible to assist the Senior Auditor in conducting internal audit assignments in line with the approved Internal Audit work program. Candidates desirous for this role should submit their resume to begin with the application process.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning, execution and reporting of audits in accordance with internal audit standards and best practices.
- Conduct interviews and walkthroughs with process owners to gain an understanding of business processes and identify key areas of risk.
- Perform audit tests and procedures to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
- Document audit findings and recommendations and communicate them to the Senior Auditor for review and further action.
- Assist in monitoring the implementation of audit recommendations and provide regular updates to the Senior Auditor.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and corporate policies.
- Assist in the development of audit programs, policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to identify and address issues and concerns.
- Provide support and assistance to less experienced team members as needed.
- Self Management Responsibilities: Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the Line Manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the year.
- Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the Line Manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended.
- Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all the competencies and skills required to perform the role.
Requirements for Role of Internal Auditor
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
- 5-6 years of internal audit experience.
- Must have experience auditing construction projects.
- Preferably with big 4 audit firm experience.
- Preferably with data analytics experience.
